Making a Difference at the Moonlight Markets

04 March 2016

This Friday, St John SA and Bendigo Bank will be out in force at the final installment of the Campbelltown City Council’s 2015/16 Moonlight Markets, raising funds for the Volunteer for a Volunteer campaign through the sale of vital first aid kits.

Through Bendigo Bank’s partnership with St John SA the Volunteer for a Volunteer campaign has been successfully raising funds across South Australia to continue to provide important first aid training and equipment to continue to keep the community safe.

The funds raised through the Volunteer for a Volunteer will go towards the maintenance and purchase of equipment and supplies including emergency response kits, stretchers, mobile first aid units and defibrillators.

St John volunteers are essential to events like the Moonlight Markets, keeping the 40,000 plus attendees per market season safe by ensuring the medical attention they may need is readily available.

The campaign provides an opportunity for South Australians to give back to St John, say ‘thank you’ to the volunteers who may have helped them over the years, and ensure they can continue their important lifesaving work.

The first aid kits can be purchased from the Bendigo Bank marquee, located near the Rotunda, at a cost of $25 per unit.
