South Australia's History Festival

South Australia's History Festival

01 May 2019

South Australia’s History Festival is upon us again, running from the 27th of April until the 31st of May 2019.

A number of fascinating events will be held throughout the month, highlighting various elements of South Australian History.

Our very own St John Ambulance SA Historical Society will be taking part in the festival once again and opening up their carefully curated and maintained museum for visitors.

Tours will be held during regular opening hours on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm and on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm, or by appointment.

Visitors can step back in time and see the evolution of St John Ambulance in South Australia from its early days as the state ambulance service to the modern day organisation of today, which provides various first aid related services and Community Care.

On Sunday 26th May, a special open day will be held at the museum, where our vintage ambulances will be on display for visitors to explore.

Make sure you get along to the St John Ambulance SA Historical Museum throughout May and be amazed by the fascinating history and stories behind our organisation.

The St John Ambulance SA Historical Museum is located at 72 Edmund Ave, Unley, SA.
