In July 2013, GDF SUEZ Australian Energy’s South Australian company Pelican Point Power Ltd joined the St John SA Community Support Partnership program. The company has a long standing commitment to supporting a number of community investments and support programs that benefit the local community through the promotion of community involvement and goodwill.

With a sponsorship for the purchase of vital manual handling equipment, the Port Adelaide volunteer division have received a new lifting board and straps and the new style, purpose built chair stretcher to assist with their vital work in their local community.

Manual Handling equipment was recently presented by the GDF SUEZ Australian Energy representative Desrae Falk, to the St John Port Adelaide divisional Superintendent, Andrew Inglis and St John Account Manager, Sue Jennings.

Lawson Risk Management, leaders in the field of safety and claims management and have found a synergy in their alliance with first aid experts St John Ambulance SA and the Community Support Partner program.

For the second year in a row, Directors Col Lawson and Michelle Harris have sponsored the purchase of vital manual handling equipment. The state patient transport team have received a new lifting board and straps and the new style, purpose built chair stretcher to assist with their vital work in the local community. OSS team leader, David Hamilton said that the new equipment would make life a lot easier for the volunteers at events such as the Adelaide Clipsal and Day on the Green.
