St John SA’s mission is to make first aid part of everyone’s life, and we believe that there is no better place to start than in our schools. Therefore, we are proud to offer an extensive range of products and services, including FREE services such as First Aid in Schools, as well as expertise to the South Australian educational sector.

Asthma and Anaphylaxis assessed

Consisting of accredited courses 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks & Emergencies in the Workplace and 22300VIC Course in the First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis, this module can be completed as part of HLTAID004 or individually as an accredited specialised course.

Manual Handling 

Learn techniques to safely carry out manual handling tasks to prevent workplace injury and adverse long-term health effects.

Specific Classroom Modules 

Some modules are required by the DECD, depending on specific conditions. Here are examples of modules available at St John:

  • Burns Module: classroom activities that may cause chemical and/or heat burn
  • Personal Protection Module: protection for where there may be risk of infectious disease
  • Sprains & Strains Module: perfect for physical activities including sports and excursions




FREE Workplace Assessments

Our first aid advisors will visit your school, assess it against the SafeWork Code of Practice requirements and make recommendations based on their assessment – completely free of charge.

Customised Info Sessions

Learn about topics relevant to your school’s specific circumstances, such as common medical conditions including diabetes, asthma or anaphylaxis.

Restocking Services *bulk orders available*

We examine your stock levels and integrity of contents, check expiry dates and restock accordingly to meet WHS regulations; we also include an inventory list and audit date (as required by SafeWork’s First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice 2015), and attach a service label indicating the next due date. 

First Aid Drills

Regular first aid drills keep you and your team response-ready in between first aid courses. A St John trainer will visit your school and run First Aid scenarios with your staff. Our first aid drills are fully customisable and can be scheduled throughout the year.
